Tannis Gorman Registered Massage Therapist
Tannis is the owner of Apex Integrative Massage Therapy. Tannis graduated from the 3000 hour registered massage therapy program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2010.
For many years Tannis fascination with human anatomy, physiology and desire to help others inspired her to pursue a career in massage therapy. Through her own experience with sport and motor vehicle accident related injuries, she has come to understand first hand the importance of manual therapy and active rehabilitation to maximize recovery. Tannis’ treatments are individualized and take a systemic, whole body approach. Utilizing a wide variety of techniques including and not limited to: deep tissue massage, myofascial release, active modalities, joint mobilizations, visceral manipulation, scar tissue work, pre & post natal massage and therapeutic exercise. Also, after volunteering at Canucks Childrens Hospice treating parents and their children, Tannis firmly believes that the power of massage therapy should be available to all age groups and has a paediatric massage diploma. Currently, Tannis is working towards becoming certified in Pilates to incorporate this in her practice.
