How to design an efficient and effective warm-up for your dancers
Warming up properly is now well understood to be a critical aspect of preparing both the body and mind for the demands of class, rehearsal and performance. But many dancers and teachers still struggle with knowing exactly what that warm-up should look like, and what the components of an comprehensive warm-up are. In this webinar, you’ll learn how to apply the RAMP protocol to ensure your warm-ups are efficient, effective and adequately preparing your dancers to perform at their best!

A message from Erika…
Over the past 15+ years, I’ve worked with thousands of dancers and hundreds of dance teachers and one of the biggest struggles still facing dancers in today’s fast-paced dance industry is the high rate of injuries. The demands of dance have never been higher, and ensuring a dancer is prepared - both physically and mentally - for these demands is more important than ever!
Most people in the dance world now understand the importance of a proper warm-up prior to dancing, but putting that into practice doesn’t always happen. I often work with dancers in the clinic who know they should be warming up, but don’t always know how to warm up effectively. Most know they shouldn’t just be sitting in the splits or hanging out with their leg up on the barre, but are unsure of what exactly they should be doing instead.
I spend a lot of time in-clinic teaching dancers about the components of a warm-up and how they can design a personal warmup tailored to their specific needs. But I don’t want this knowledge to only be accessible to dancers who work with me in clinic. All dancers should have access to this information, and dance teachers are positioned perfectly to be the ones to share this information.
That’s why I decided to create this FREE webinar. In order for dance teachers to confidently teach efficient and effective warm-ups, they need to understand the purpose, physiological effects and key components of a good warm up.
